Summary
This article explains how an administrator can get notified by SMS, Email or SNMP, of an event in Authentication Server.
In the example used here, we configure Authentication Server to send an SMS when a user gets locked.
Details.
To accomplish this task, we use the Authentication Server system monitoring; and the Message Delivery Component (MDC) to send the message via SMS or Email.
• Start the Authentication Server Configuration Tool from the start menu.
• Go to monitoring and enable System monitoring:
• Add a target. In this example, we create a target to notify the administrator by SMS:
Remark: In the target you can also define to notify a user by Email, or send an SNMP message to an SNMP monitoring system.
• Define a filter.
In our example, we define a filter to detect when a user gets locked.
In each filter definition you specify a target, defined in the previous step
Now when a user gets locked, the system monitoring system will send and SMS to the admin user via the MDC with the following content:
Type:Warning
Time:2024/01/05 15:18:12
Code:W-011003
AMID:0x61D336C9D28E8548F22EB8DF575EDA3B
Desc:A DIGIPASS User Account has become locked. (User ID: abc; Domain: master)
